Rob Massey

Throughout my early adulthood I had one pair of 'sports shoes' that I occasionally went around the block in. I moved to Bollington just as The Harriers was reforming for its third time. Fast forward to the present day and I have a pair of shoes for every eventuality. I even almost struggle to throw the old, hole ridden ones away! I have too many bags, bottles, coats and poles and I am a self-confessed addict!

Thanks to the harriers I have become 'a runner'. One that is most often found in the hills and loves to get off the beaten track with the occasional glance at an OS map for reassurance. (The road shoes are very much neglected at the back of the cupboard).

The Bollington Harriers has been a fantastic social group with the influence to push me into bigger challenges such as Ultra's and Trail running in more remote areas. You might just find me at a local 10K or Road 1/2, but I won't be enjoying the experience! In the near future I have aspirations to complete more ultras in Britain's National Parks, perhaps some continentally and I am also getting scarily close to the thought of training for a BG Round.. Send your thoughts and prayers!
